Text over an Image on an Uploaded File

Colors on Uploaded Files

Required Resolution
In order to get a good printed result all elements in the uploaded file must have a minimum resolution of 400 DPI.

Bleeds - What are bleeds, and do I need them?

A bleed is the portion of the paper at the edges that will be trimmed off when cut to the final size.
The purpose of a bleed is to continue a color, image or design to the edge of the card.
In order to insure that your color, image or design goes all the way to the edge, you have to make you document 0.15 inch (or 4 mm) bigger in all directions. For example, if the final size is 8.5" x 11" (215mm x 280mm), then you need to make your document 8.8" x 11.3" (223mm x 288mm).
Also keep in mind when you are creating your design that the layout will be cut off 0.15 (4 mm) into the page. Make sure that any images or backgrounds that you want to bleed go clear out to the outer perimeter of the document, past the final size. Then after we have printed your piece, we will trim off that extra 0.15" (4 mm) on every sides and voila! You have color all the way to the edges of your piece, and it looks professional.
